Traditional Art Favorites of 2011!
Another year is over and it's time for my annual art feature of works submitted in 2011!
This is both my favorite and the most difficult art feature to make. After going through thousands and thousands of works you can imagine how hard it was to pick just some.
Artworks were chosen by different combination of the following "criteria":
general impression • emotion conveying • meaning of the artwork • pure awesomeness • idea/concept • originality • complexity • technique • quality • subject • incredible realism • great style • everything else I forgot to write

An artwork of your animal friend
By an animal friend, I mean your own pet, but it can also be your family pet, family dog for example, as well as some animal you're closely connected to and love very much, like that one special horse of your granddad's you made friends with and love to ride.
Does my animal friend have to be..uhm...alive?
No. I even encourage making an artwork of an animal you loved very much, but unfortunately is no longer with you, for whichever reason. Always wanted to draw your dog you spent so many wonderful years together? Now's a good time.

WIPs on tumblr!Been thinking for months about uploading WIPs, pros and cons of it and where to upload them. I've been asked and I know many people like to see WIPs, so maybe it could give me that little push to not to procrastinate so much and finish my drawings faster, but that's pretty much it. Don't want my gallery/scraps flooded with them, I like to keep the element of surprise for my watchers, what if something goes wrong? + I'm not that comfortable showing something in progress.
In the end, I went for tumblr, to see what's all this fuss about it and as a place to upload WIPs. Sometimes. Without particular consistency or order. Whenever I manage to beat my hate for scanning the same piece more than once. Tumblrers can follow me and the rest will be given links to WIPs in the description after I upload the finished drawing on dA, or can bookmark my tumblr.
