Traditional Art Favorites of 2011!
Another year is over and it's time for my annual art feature of works submitted in 2011!
This is both my favorite and the most difficult art feature to make. After going through thousands and thousands of works you can imagine how hard it was to pick just some.
Artworks were chosen by different combination of the following "criteria":
general impression • emotion conveying • meaning of the artwork • pure awesomeness • idea/concept • originality • complexity • technique • quality • subject • incredible realism • great style • everything else I forgot to write

Huuuge Weekly Features!There hasn't been Weekly Features! for a while so you get an extra big one this time! Hope you enjoy! The Watchers Features! will be submitted in a day or two so you still have time to paste your thumbs.
Art Updates: very slow progressing graphite triptych, abandoned colored pencil drawing and white pencil drawing on black paper are currently on my table, no idea when I'll be able to finish any of them since I have an overwhelming number of exams and other uni stuff this month and then all the finals the next month.

New Year's Art "Resolution": I could write here a long list of things I'd like to do, like to try out, etc. and the list wouldn't be unrealistic, unlikely to accomplish, but yet I know it's maybe the best to just set a general minimum of any 1 work per month, although I know I might not even be able to pull off as little as that...

Weekly Features!

WIPs on tumblr!Been thinking for months about uploading WIPs, pros and cons of it and where to upload them. I've been asked and I know many people like to see WIPs, so maybe it could give me that little push to not to procrastinate so much and finish my drawings faster, but that's pretty much it. Don't want my gallery/scraps flooded with them, I like to keep the element of surprise for my watchers, what if something goes wrong? + I'm not that comfortable showing something in progress.
In the end, I went for tumblr, to see what's all this fuss about it and as a place to upload WIPs. Sometimes. Without particular consistency or order. Whenever I manage to beat my hate for scanning the same piece more than once. Tumblrers can follow me and the rest will be given links to WIPs in the description after I upload the finished drawing on dA, or can bookmark my tumblr.

Another year is almost over and it's time for my annual traditional art feature of artworks submitted in the year of 2012!

This is my favorite, the most difficult and the most time consuming art feature to make, as well as the one I'm never really satisfied with: it's a real pain to decide which works to include in this little collection when, just from this small part of the most amazing works dA is filled with you have the luck to find and see each year, you have at least a few hundreds of top favs.
