Plz read, especially if interested in OriginalsFirst of all, hi to all still active watchers & members of dA! Hope you had a great summer!
My summer was not so great, but will spare you the details and say I'll soon start being much more active on dA! I can't wait to be able to submit new drawings! But first I need a quick little favor from you related to my drawings. The following is kind of vague since there's no much sense in sharing the details due to several reasons, so you can just glance over the rambling and near the end read about what I need from you if you have spare couple of minutes.
OK, so I fu*ked up real bad, really didn't need this after everything, especially as it wasn't that hard to avoid it happening (excuses can only go so far), and the financial cost of it is great. It's so great that I'd most probably be in a bigger plus, both financial and other, if I didn't work my summer job for the past month and a half.
Anyways, the fu*k up will, hopefully, soon be fixed - it'll be

How long have you been on DeviantArt?
What does your username mean?
It has multiple potential meanings, darker ones, but nothing I can properly put into words, nor really want to. The inspiration for the "Wicked" part of my username came from the Weasley twins (HP) - something they're known to say occasionally, and "Illusion" followed. I've seen some people using it as username/title over the web, so always better confirm it with me if you think you found me on some website (for example, I'm not on Twitter). Actually, I named one of my old works "Wicked Illusion", so I've had this word combination in my head since 2008, but only started to use it as username on various websites a few years later.
Describe yourself in three words.
This is torture.
Are you left or right handed?

Weekly Features! + UpdatesIt seems that my Weekly Features! have turned into monthly features, if I look at the past few months... I posted only a total of 4 journals this year!
Anyway, art and life updates! Started working last Monday, very late for summer job, was surprised they even called since I sent my application like couple of months later than most other people (end of June haha) and I heard there were many more applicants this year, but I found out later I must have gotten it because one of the last year's colleagues quit for another job. So, yay, I'll be able to afford new, much better zoom lens and some other stuff after all because currently I'm pretty much broke and I don't have luck with selling original drawings and the prints and merch. sales gets me only pocket change. As for art, I am drawing! But, it's going reeeeeeeally slowly, drawing bits and pieces every couple of days. I hope to have this ACEO WIP done by the end of July, but no promises. I'm occasionally posting dra
Weekly Features! + WIPsI'm not making a strawberry cake for my birthday this year (June 21st) but a delicious coconut one, so I picked this sweet Strawberry Journal Skin at least.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have a new drawing anytime soon because my thesis should have been finished weeks ago (starting to panic a little...), especially if I, hopefully, start working in July (technically, still haven't even got a job), so here's 2 of my newest WIPs to see at least what you can expect next:
GoT ACEO WIP
Figure Series IV WIP
...and then all the rest of WIPs I've been successfully ignoring all this time (some for as long as 3 freaking years), unless inspiration and motivations force me to start yet another new WIP.
Weekly Features! The features are a few scrolls down. : )
Hi, here's another huge Weekly Features! Since I no longer make them every week now due to number of reasons, maybe I should rename them? Into what? But that could result with much less people checking them out and featured artworks getting less attention/feedback. I've used this name for this type of my features for years, people recognize it, especially those who regularly follow them, and it helps them pick this Journal out of the sea of other Journals they may not be interested in.
As some of you may have noticed, I haven't been making Watchers Features! for months now. The last few I did, there simply wasn't enough interest, too few watchers sent their artwork thumbnails to be featured. If I ever miraculously start getting similar or greater amounts of all sorts of feedback like couple of years ago again and general activity on my page increases, which would mean there's probably enough act

8 yrs on dA + Art Plan of 2015 + PhotographyNo Journals for weeks and then I "spam" you with 3 in short time. In the first two I overwhelmed you with features, this time with a long wall of text. I know only couple of people at most will actually read this, or just glance over it, but still, I had to write it, mostly for myself so I can read it at the end of the year and compare it with reality.
Firstly, I can't believe I've been on this stupid site (I say it with a lot of love) for 8 years already! I missed my 8th dA anniversary which was on Jan 29. Since this entry is so long, I'll skip the importance dA (and its artists, dA friends) has had for me all these years blahblah this time.
I'm 6 final exams and a thesis away from graduating and getting my master's degree, so I decided to take a little break from studying after weeks of never ending exams and seminars before the finals start the next week, and I came up with an art plan of 2015 while sipping homemade chocolate liqueur.
I'm sharing this with you i

The dragon is a staple of so many fantasy stories that it can be difficult to keep up with them all.
Dragons in different universes abide by different rules; some are friendly, some are clever, some are pure evil, and some are trainable. What all dragons have in common is that in the realm of TV and movies, they need to look good to properly play their part in the story. There are hundreds of dragons that have shown up on
The Procrastinator: A Day In The Life
The Procrastinator A Day In The Life
Procrastination is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the "last minute" before a deadline.
I wrote the title for this piece three weeks ago.

Anatomy Lessons: How to improve faster in 6 steps!
'Life Drawing 5' by algaegoblin
Do you know how to sketch human figures but do you want to refine your anatomy skills? Or do you not know anatomy at all and you are tired to trust your imagination? Did you notice you create disproportions in your drawings?
If you are aspiring artists and you already have your own style, you might as well believe you have no need of a guide, but you are wrong. Before exaggerating human proportions and begin to have your own style, you first have to know the basics.
This little guide is the result of an accurate research and 5 years of high school of art, and it's created for all those who want to learn something new or just make a useful review.
For those who have already studied art, my suggestion is to go to step 6 or trying to repeat all steps in Digital format.
First of all, if you want to learn faster you should draw using traditi
PE: Decorating Your ProfileCommunity Week
Your profile page is the first thing people will see when they click on your name, so it's very important to leave a good impression! This article will provide some useful tips and tricks for both premium and non-premium members who want to convert their profile into their own, unique page. First off, some Do's and Don'ts of profile decoration:
Use dA's profile widgets-- there are lots of great options to chose from
Show off some art (that's what people are here for!)
Express your personality through colors, stamps, gifs, etc.
Add so many images that your profile takes forever to load
Use garish or headache-inducing colors
Make text difficult to read with dark backgrounds
While many widgets are restricted or locked for non-premium members, there are still a variety of great widgets that you can add to your profile, even without a membership.
So you want to do commissions?A basic guide to setting up commissions
When it comes to commissioning, there is so much that needs to be decided, arranged and thought of that it can all appear a bit daunting at first.
However: when following a couple of basic guidelines, setting up commissions really is not as hard as you think!
If you find the article informative, please it.
First things first
So you have decided you want to start doing commissions. That's great!
The first thing to do is to determine what you want to offer.
Do you want to offer drawings, or designs?
Will you be coding journal-skins for people, or will you be pixeling?
Take a look through your gallery and try to determine what you do best and what you like to do the most.
Because that will most likely be what you'll be offering.
Stick to what you're good at.
Don't promise what you can't deliver when someone is paying you for it.
Now that you've mo

Don Draper seems to think so. If you’re familiar with TV’s “Mad Men” — the second half of its final season begins airing in April — you know that one of the central conceits of the show’s plot is sparked when Don, the protagonist, has his artistic integrity challenged or questioned by uninitiated, small-minded clients.
