THE THEME The theme of the contest is drawing/painting one of your favorite scenes from some movie or a TV show.
There are always some great scenes that we remember for a long, long time, scenes that amaze us, scare us, make us cry, inspire us...scenes that we just love very much! Take some time and think about some scene like that.
You can even show more scenes than one in a single artwork, make an artwork that consists of two or more parts. It's only important that the scenes are from the same movie/TV show (or even better - from the same episode if you're drawing TV show fanart)

Make any scene you want, but please no mature content. You can draw some action, sad, romantic, funny, scary, or any other scene you choose that is your favorite.
THE RULES Please read all the rules carefully. If you don't understand something or you have some questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Contest starts on August 1st and ends on September 20th, which means you have 7 weeks to send in your entry This is a traditional art contest only Your entry must be related to non animated movie/TV shows, which means no animated movie, cartoons, manga/anime etc. related entries (sorry) Your entry needs to be specially made for this contest. No entries submitted before August 1st will be accepted, nor the entries sent after the contest is closed on September 20th (23:59 pm, GMT+1:00) 2 entries maximum per deviant allowed Important: You must use a screenshot/TV show/movie still as a ref for your entry. You must not use as ref: posters, promo pictures, wallpapers etc. Drawing scenes can be challenging, especially because it's often hard to find a big, good quality screenshot/movie still, or take your own screenshot to use. I do know that very often some scene from a movie is made into official movie poster etc. but please don't use that as ref.To find your screenshots/movie stills I suggest browsing some fan sites where you can find tons of screenshots. Good luck with finding hi-res screenshots/movie stills!
You can crop the screenshot/movie still as it suits you. You don't have to draw/paint the whole thing. You can simplify the background, make it look blurry or something like that if it's not crucially important for the scene you chose. I won't make you draw/paint super complicated backgrounds 
In description of your entry you must mention your work is for this contest and give a link to this news article or this journal diamond4girl.deviantart.com/jo… You also must write to which movie or a TV show your entry is related to. If you drew a scene from a TV show it would be great of you could write the name of the episode if you know it, but that's not obligatory. Judges can't participate in this contest for obvious reasons

Weekly Features are back! It's been a few years and it probably won't last, but hey. I miss the days when I'd feature dozens of works on a weekly basis and there were tons of people actually checking them out! Now it's hard to get 10 views on a Journal which makes features pointless, and it's also extremely hard to find new work to feature now due to all the changes, but for the next few weeks I'll do them anyway.
