Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie
There's one random detail I wanted to share with you just because. Ralph's been on top of the list of my favorite actors ever for a long time now, but I was never sure if I was pronouncing his last name right until now. I went to Google translator the other day to hear his last name pronounced and thought: shit, I've been pronouncing his last name wrong for all these years!
But there's more! Couple of days after, I was watching some interview with Ralph on YouTube and it turns out I was actually pronouncing his last name right and his first name wrong! He was even explaining in that interview why his name Ralph is not pronounced like the name Ralph is usually pronounced and he explained about his last name too.
So, it ''only'' took two months to finish this drawing. I wish I could say it took this long because I was working on it so hard paying attention to every detail and thus making small progress every day, but nooo. Actually, this drawing was pretty much rushed, done much less detailed than planned.
So, what’s so different with my HP series of drawings compared to my other drawings? I draw on fine grain paper, on the “wrong” side of paper, less grainy one. Since I accidentally drew my first drawing from the series on the more grainy side, I decided to draw the whole series on that side to achieve the same “effect” as with my first drawing from the series so they’re all similar, if you get what I mean. Same as with the rest, I had to put some more effort to get what I want because, believe me, drawing on such grainy paper without blending is not an easy thing + I needed to use a bit different technique when drawing than the one I’m used to.
