EDIT: after considering everything, I decided it's the best to cut out what's good (pair of eyes, 21x14cm big) so I no longer have a WIP which will never be finished but a completed drawing.
A first epic screw up after all these years! Hahaha! Actually, it's not funny, not funny at all. Damn. And what a pity. I've spent couple of weeks on this drawing which is now completely ruined, while I could have finished my Christmas gift for someone which they won't get on time now.
What happened you ask? Embarrassing to say, but I drew the nose about an inch on the wrong side and, due to extremely minimalistic look, I somehow didn't notice it until I started working on the mouth. What's so horrible about it? No amount of effort put into erasing that strongly pressed 7B on smooth paper could remove highly noticeable nostril "remains".
I decided to do finish up the eyes and submit it cropped, even though it will be just another cliche pair of eyes on dA. After all, it is my part 2/2 drawing practice on smooth paper which I still strongly dislike.
