Leonardo DiCaprio & Marion Cotillard as Dom Cobb & Mal from the movie Inception.

ATC (Artist Trading Card) - 2.5 x 3.5“ / 63 x 89 mm, pencils on Bristol vellum paper.

This is my part of the trade with *youngmoons and this is what she did for me [link] :aww:

Cobb & Mal. Happy. Cobb's totem, spinning top, a personalized small object whose behavior is unpredictable to anyone except its owner, to determine whether they are in another person's dream. Six people watching the world Cobb and Mal created for themselves falling apart.

The drawing's made in two panels with the border in between while the border around the work is, of course, added digitally. It looks better in reality.

So, I guess, when drawing for someone else sometimes you and go lengths you probably never would if you were drawing for yourself. I highly doubt I'd go drawing double portrait + spinning thingy + beach with 6 tiny humans and world falling apart on A4 paper for myself, but I even spiced things up a bit gave it a shot on 2.5 x 3.5“!

Maybe it's just me, but when drawing on such small size, you kinda get sucked in it, so lost in it that you have a feeling you're working on much, much larger scale. Although, it's probably because of my insane obsession with the details. I don't really go drawing and thinking how I must draw every single detail, but it came to that I'm literally incapable of drawing any less amount of detail and without going into details, that sometimes becomes an actual problem.

Tools used:

:liquisoft: 3.5 x 2.5“/ 63 x 89 mm Bristol vellum paper
:liquisoft: 0.5 2B, HB and 0.3 HB mechanical pencil
:liquisoft: kneaded, pencil and stick eraser
:liquisoft: H, 2B, 5B pencil

Puno hvala! Bome me namučio i onda kad sam napokon nacrtala nešto šta je ispalo stvarno dobro i to još u tako maloj veličini i vezano sa fenomenalni film, morala sam ga dat. Šmrc.
