as Will Graham
from NBC's new great TV show Hannibal."I feel like I'm fading."
Well, what can I say, I fell in love with this ref even before starting to watch the show and, since I’ve always had a soft spot for Dancy <3, I waited to marathon it and LOVE it to have an "excuse" to start drawing him in character.
Where to start, I’m really out of practice (you're now probably thinking: yeah, it shows, but actually this is more of a result of something else), my last big graphite drawing was in April last year. I did some miniatures and stuff on black paper, but that’s a whole other thing. This was supposed to be a quick (
) drawing on a new A5 paper I got, and I used kind of ref I stopped using long time ago. Dark, small, low quality refs are out of option now, but I had to draw this one so I made an exception knowing my inner half-perfectionist won't stop whining through the whole process because of the great lack of detail, textures, clarity, etc. and having to settle for only semi-detailed and mostly joyless drawing, except for the subject (= the ref offers almost nothing for the parts I love and enjoy drawing the most and does not enable me to make kind of a drawing I want no matter how much detail I make up along the way) where everything is more or less out of focus, and with "suspicious" areas where it isn't clear if something really looks like that or it's a product of low quality image. So, lets just pretend Will has a bit of a skin condition on the right side of this face, etc.
